About Us

Welcome!
Onyx PetCare was created for our love for animals. However, It’s more than that. We want to run a business based on integrity. Honest communication with our pet parents. All parties must feel comfortable. It matters whom ones entrusts with their pets and in their home. We will respect your privacy and space.
We understand that pets are family. We know how we want our pets treated. We will treat your pets like our own. We want each pet to know they are loved. We want them to feel comfortable and safe when you’re away from home.
How is that possible? By getting to know your pet. Behavior’s and habit’s vary. We understand that each pet is different and has their own personality. We welcome any information that you can provide. Their quirks and silly ways too. After all, no one knows their pet like you.
Meet the Team

Meet Gee
Hi! I’m the founder of Onyx PetCare and a proud Laurel resident since 2003! My journey into PetCare began in 2012 with my first business. A Mother’s Hand. Where I offered a range of services, including caring for pets. Over time, I realized my heart belonged with the animals. I made the decision to fully dedicate myself to PetCare.
The inspiration behind Onyx PetCare is from my first dog. Onyx, a Black Labrador. She taught me patience, unconditional love, and the true meaning of companionship. Naming the business after her is my way of honoring the joy and wisdom she brought into my life.
Today, I share my home with my lively Chihuahua, Julio, and two charming cats, Diego and Pepita. They keep me on my toes and remind me every day why I do what I do. At Onyx PetCare, your pets are treated like family. With kindness, respect, and lots of love. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companions!

Meet Christina
Hi! I grew up right here in Laurel and have always had a big heart for animals. I share that love with my daughter, who’s already a budding animal lover herself. Whether it’s a sunny stroll or a playful pup adventure, I enjoy spending time outdoors. Dog walking is one of my favorite ways to connect with pets and nature.
In addition to being part of the Onyx PetCare team. I’m also a teacher with Anne Arundel County Public Schools. I aim to bring the same warmth, care, and dedication to every furry friend, as I do with my students. I enjoy teaching children and spending time with animals. Working part time with Onyx, I can do both.

Meet Esmeralda
Hi! I have been caring for pets professionally for over three years. I bring kindness, reliability, and a calm loving presence to every animal I meet. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe and happy.
In addition to my work with Onyx PetCare, I have also helped Gee with A Mother’s Hand, and other jobs in the Laurel community. I’m dedicated to my family and enjoy caring for them. I have a strong work ethic and gentle spirit. In my free time I’m studying English.

Meet Cammy
Hi, I’m Cammy! I’m the proud owner of Cammy’s Pet Styling, where I specialize in one-onone grooming for dogs that are anxious, shy, or reactive. My approach is gentle, personal, and designed to create a calm, stress-free experience for every pup.
When I’m not in my own grooming space, I love lending a hand to Gee and supporting her with Onyx PetCare. At home, my husband and I share our lives with a spirited Rottweiler and two playful cats that keep us on our toes.
I’m passionate about creating peaceful, trusting connections with pets, and I believe every animal deserves to feel safe, understood, and cared for. Helping both pets and their people feel relaxed and happy is truly the best part of what I do.

Meet Lisa
Hi! I grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Maryland in the ’90’s. I’ve built a life in Laurel with my wonderful husband, our two teenage kids, and our two lovable cats.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, sewing, taking peaceful walks in the park, and soaking up live music at summer concerts. I have a deep love for nature and a strong commitment to protecting the environment.
One of the highlights of my days is getting to know the unique personalities of the dogs I walk. Each one has their own personality, and it’s been a real joy to connect with them.
